How We Pick the Daily Deal

People assume a deal site's hardest job is finding cheap products. It isn't — the wholesale world is drowning in cheap products. The hard job is saying no to most of them.

The three tests

Every candidate lot has to pass three questions before it can become a ReelaDeal day:

  • Would we buy it at retail? If the product is only attractive because it's discounted, it fails. A deal is a good product at a great price, not a mediocre product at any price.
  • Is the discount real? We check the product's actual selling price across the market. If the "retail" number can't be verified, we don't use it — the strikethrough on our site has to survive a search.
  • Can we stand behind it? Same return window as anything else, US support, and a description written from the actual product in the actual warehouse — not the manufacturer's brochure.

Why one deal a day is a feature

Passing on nine lots to run one is what makes the model work. Every product on the homepage got picked over something else. A catalog can't make that promise; a daily drop can.

Watch it happen

The next deal goes live at midnight UTC, every day. See [today's pick](/), or [get on the list](/) and we'll tell you the moment it drops.
